Multicolored balls of Nature Spun yarn from Brown Sheep. I love the way yarn vendors stack up colorful balls of yarn. They make interesting patterns in addition to showing off the colors they have available. It's also nice that most of the vendors have signs that say "please touch". I like to knit, but more importantly I like to touch and buy interesting textures of yarn. It's a disease with no real treatment available.

My passion is underwater and nature photography. I particularly like finding patterns and designs in nature and getting down to the very basics with super macro views. In my early years, I had extremely poor vision and, as a consequence, I would get very close to things in order to see them. I think this handicap influenced my technique as I tend to try and create brightly colored, closely cropped, in-your-face images that are easy to see. Revealing the beauty in the mundane is my goal. I live in the countryside of western Oregon and have no trouble finding frogs, birds, mushrooms and flowers to photograph.I travel to warm waters for underwater shots as often as possible.
