About Jean Noren
I am a retired Internal Medicine physician with a passion for underwater and nature photography. As I have aged, I am doing more bird photography and leaving the diving to younger folk. I particularly like finding patterns and designs in nature and getting down to the very basics with super macro views. In my early years, I had extremely poor vision and, as a consequence, I would get very close to things in order to see them. I think this handicap influenced my technique as I tend to try and create brightly colored, closely cropped, in-your-face images that are easy to see. Revealing the beauty in the mundane is my goal.
